2008 Grand Banks Eastbay 45 SX

The 45 Eastbay SX is a full-featured Down East cruiser that complements assertive performance with stylish grace. Standard twin-500-hp will have you quickly nearing 30 knots, cruising atop a proven C.R. Hunt-designed hull that out-performs the imitators. Inside, accommodations are superior to any in her class, with a generous master stateroom that includes a private head with stall shower, and a guest stateroom that is equally spacious. The 45SX also brings some surprising new features to the Eastbay Series, from her seated helm to the optional sunroof, to an aft salon window that disappears at the touch of a button. And everywhere you turn: more light, more views, more ways to enjoy those prized moments when you're at sea on or on the hook.

The main cabin is entered through a Dutch door from the cockpit.  Immediately to port is an L-shaped galley with a large electric window, creating a convenient pass-through to the cockpit.  Opposite to starboard is a long cabinet housing an undercounter refrigerator and a separate freezer.  The countertop is black Silestone, matching the black countertop in the galley opposite.

Forward in the same cabinet to starboard is an entertainment center with a TV on a lift, and other electronic entertainment equipment.  Forward of the cabinet is the Stidd helm seat, and an array of electronics.  Opposite to port and forward of the galley is the U-shaped settee and teak hi-lo table.  Overhead is the large sun roof, and along the sides are opening windows.

Down four steps are the cabins and heads.  The master stateroom is forward, and has a center line queen bed with two large drawers below.  To starboard is a cedar lined hanging locker, a storage cabinet and a drawer. A flat screen TV and built in DVD are on an extension/swivel arm.  To port are more cabinets and the en-suite head.  A large overhead hatch provides plenty of air and light.  There are stainless steel opening ports to port and starboard.  In the en-suite bathroom is a Vacuflush head and acrylic shower enclosure with a teak grate and bench seat.

Aft of the master stateroom and to starboard, is the guest stateroom in which there are twin beds with custom bedding, and a teak table between.  There is an overhead hatch and stainless steel opening ports, a full length mirror, reading lamps and a cedar lined hanging locker.  The Vacuflush guest head/day head is opposite to port, and also has a handheld shower.  The Splendid washer/dryer is in the aft bulkhead.

The beautiful teak and holly sole, teak bulkheads, curtains and air conditioning is throughout the boat.
