Known as a premier builder of family-oriented center consoles and crossover models, EdgeWater Power Boats officially offers the new 280 CenterConsole. Designed to run and perform with twin engines only, the 280 Center Console can be equipped with twin Yamaha F250 or F300 four-stroke outboards for reliable, fuel-efficient power. The 280 Center Console features a custom-made, fully integrated hardtop with a “Clear Vision” custom tempered glass windshield, providing an unobstructed sightline and aft skylight. The custom, walk-in Center Console features an interior double-berth cabin area complete with a head that includes an electric toilet and a freshwater sink with pull-out shower. The fiberglass leaning post comes optional with a stainless steel freshwater sink, pull-out shower, cuttingboard, storage drawers, rod holders, adjustable flip-bolster helm seats, electric grill, refrigerator, Corian countertop, cutting board and baitwell.
EdgeWater’s Exclusive Single Piece Infusion Process With EdgeWater’s proprietary SPI (Single Piece Infusion) construction process, vinylester resin is vacuum infused into the builder’s Penske Xtreme® grid structures and the hull laminate in one step. By infusing them together, resin molecules in the grid harden at the exact same time as the resin in the fiberglass laminate, making it bond as one piece. SPI achieves a strength-to-weight ratio greater than open-molded, polyester boats, according to laboratory test results provided by Owens Corning. When combined with the sea keeping ability of EdgeWater’s variable deadrise deep-V hulls, SPI technology produces better handling, performance, fuel efficiency and range than other production boats of the same size, length and power.
