Introduction
A New Ocean Class Destined to Become a Sportfishing Classic
Ocean builds some of the world’s finest sportfishermen at the upper end of production yacht manufacturing. One reason for the company’s success is the keen insight into the sport (many would call it an art) possessed by Ocean’s own designers and engineers, customer service and production staff.
They not only contribute their diverse talents to the construction of tournament fishing machines, they also fish them – every chance they get. Deepsea angling is very much a part of their nature. Looking at its own sportfishing boats as well as competitive models, Ocean saw something missing: a fast, high-utility boat that diehard anglers could fish hard – all day and all night if need be.
A boat with a tough all-weather hull that would take to the water with confidence.
A boat with an open-style main deck, flybridge, and fully instrumented lower helm … a tournament-class cockpit generously equipped with fishing assets … a completely outfitted galley and master stateroom worthy of an Ocean Yacht. (Sure, it’s luxurious but a fisherman ought to be able to stand a little luxury!)
That’s the kind of sportfishermen Ocean’s own offshore anglers wanted, and that is what they got in an entirely new boating class: the all-business, no-nonsense Billfish Series. An SUV for deep-water hunters. It’s our kind of fishing boat and, quite possibly, yours!

Décor
Ocean Yachts 2010 Model Year Décor Selections
Our yachts are prized for their luxurious accommodations. Each Ocean model is superbly appointed with custom upholstered furniture, opulent headliners, and window treatments, plush carpeting, and richly finished woods used throughout the boat, for the paneled doors, bulkheads, trim, and cabinetry.
Exquisite fabrics, soft suede or ultra-leather, Corian® or granite countertops, tile or vinyl galley and head flooring materials, stunning wall treatments – all combine in environments of extraordinary grace and elegance.
The virtual representations of fabrics and carpeting displayed in these pages suggest the luxuriousness of our yachts’ interior spaces. The materials themselves can be seen at an Ocean dealer or in our yachts themselves, on display at our regional and national boat shows.
Ocean owners have their choice of one of three custom decors on our standard equipment list. Should owners wish to upgrade to a personalized designer décor, they may do so for an additional charge. This service includes a one-day meeting at the Philadelphia Design Center with Ocean Yachts’ exclusive designer.
Bronze
This year’s Bronze décor pays homage to classical tonalities and patterning. The palette is deliberately restrained, exploiting the rich varieties of geometric iteration, tapestry motif, and whimsy, such as a “twig” or starfish, in relief against elegant fields of color.
Wall coverings are in creamy contrast to the muted coloration of panels, valances, and upholstery. They, too, however, play boldly with pattern, though the effect, here, is refined by a tone-on-tone treatment.

Ebony
Against strong color fields of black, gray, and parchment, the warmth and richness of Ebony creates an altogether elegant setting. Striking charcoal wefts, coarse weaves of shimmering texture, fluted patterns of cream and old gold, and playful arabesques – all combine in a sumptuously textured interior décor.
Wall coverings are varied in their artistic sensibility, from naturally colored verticals suggesting reeds, to elegant pointillist cartouches, to the simplicity of a repeated leaf-and-stem motif.

Capri
Our Capri décor widens the color palette to embrace warm tonalities achieved by dusky blues in combination with sand, or bronze and ivory against blues mediated by charcoal. Patterns are strong and vibrant geometries, whose effect is to enliven the yacht’s interior spaces. This is a fabric and UltraLeather ensemble to enhance the celebratory mood.
Wall coverings range from a contrasting and sumptuously textured leaf-and-stem motif; to informal sand and ebony verticals; to palest overlays of circular gestures scarcely discernible against a white field.

Billfish
In keeping with the muscular and forthright character of our all-new, no-nonsense sportfisherman, the 37 Billfish – we are offering a fabric and valance décor choice of Atlantis Blue or Cocoa Brown.
Both are marked by strong verticals of complementary color. Either will make a genial setting for cigars and the stories of heroic tussles with enormous game fish. The variegated texture of ivory on pale sand creates a wall covering that harmonizes beautifully with the Billfish’s lively appointments.

The Ocean Fleet
More Livability, More Usability, More Overall Value in a Production Sportfishing and Cruising Yacht
Every model is distinguished by Ocean’s classic yacht design — from a raised sheerline and swept-back profile to a modified flush-forward deck and artfully concealed radar. Ocean is credited as the first American production yacht manufacturer to apply the advanced streamlining concepts of European exterior stylists to a cruising and sportfishing line. The result has been called “Signature Ocean”— the envy of many who aspire to own the ultimate pleasure craft in the 40 to 73 range, or to manufacture one. That our competitors have sought through the years to emulate that signature style is a source of pride.
Since the first Ocean model, a 1977 40 Sportfisherman, the builder has pioneered in space utilization, making our yachts arguably the most livable of any in their class. Accompanying the development of ever more comfortable interior spaces has been the pursuit of enhanced speed and performance. Led by one of the industry’s most gifted naval architects, David Martin, the Ocean Design Team has evolved a planing hull design so refined that it masters difficult seas conditions that keep most competitive boats at the dock. The result has been to increase the usability of our sportfishing, cruising, and Odyssey models — to the satisfaction of their owners.
We invite you to explore the models in our current fleet, individually. You may also wish to compare their specifications, at a glance. We hope you will enjoy your virtual visit to the Ocean showroom, where the world’s finest luxury powerboats are present for inspection.
