SABRE 38 SALON EXPRESS

The Sabre 38 Salon Express represents the latest in design and naval architecture. Her exterior profile says “downeast” and she is built in the tradition of Maine boat building: elegant, strong, steady, reliable and seaworthy. Below her skin, technology is everywhere: from her resin infused laminates, to state of the art systems, to her pod propulsion drive train. Her hull lines are the latest thinking in vee-hulled motor yachts and are specifically designed for the installation of pods, offering increased fuel economy, quiet running and a pleasant dry ride. Pods lower noise by pushing out exhaust through the propeller stream and perhaps most importantly, allow confident boat handling when docking or maneuvering in tight spaces.

The interior of the Sabre 38 Salon Express is an open design that suits a day’s outing with friends as easily as it does a longer cruise. Her cockpit is raised to a level just 5 inches below the main salon so as to connect these two important social spaces, and the aft end of the house opens with a drop down window and a swing door.

In her main salon, a raised, U-shaped settee with fixed table comfortably seats six. The forward end of the settee can be oriented forward to provide a comfortable mate’s seat when underway. To starboard, aft of the standard Stidd helm seat, is a long cabinet housing an LED television and extensive storage compartments for the owner’s gear.

On the lower level are a master stateroom with island berth and an en-suite head with shower. A functional galley is located to port and within easy reach and sight of the main salon. Below the helm deck, to port, is the lower lounge, which can also convert to a second sleeping accommodation.

The master stateroom offers the comfort of a queen-sized island berth and an en- suite head compartment.
Welcome aboard the Sabre 38 Salon Express.

SABRE 42 SALON EXPRESS

Less noise, better fuel efficient, increased maneuverability…… many of the things that make a boating experience exceptional.

At Sabre, we consider our owners and potential owners to be valued members of the Sabre Design Team. The Sabre 42 is the result of our understanding that our clients want to enjoy the same levels of personal luxury and comfort that they now expect in their homes and in their automobiles. We have developed a new style, the Salon Express, available with or without a fly bridge, that allows owners to operate from the comfort of the yacht’s interior or from the openness of an optional fly bridge. Technology is advancing rapidly and our owners have come to expect that when there is a new technology available, Sabre will employ it in all new designs.

We have dramatically changed the way we build our yachts, as well as the way in which they are propelled. Traditional values such as elegant interiors, fine craftsmanship and great looks remain, as our owners have come to expect, but below the surface things are state-of-the-art.

Take a closer look.

SABRE 48 SALON EXPRESS

As an early adopter of pod drive systems, Sabre Yachts has a clear understanding of how these revolutionary drives can best be used to increase efficiency, maximize ease of operation and increase owner confidence. The Sabre 48 Salon Express is our fifth pod driven model and takes full advantage of this technology in both her performance and in her interior accommodation plan.

The 48’s traditional exterior profile belies the contemporary performances of her vee-hull. She cruises at 27 knots and, at wide-open throttle she’ll attain more than 32 knots. With the Zeus pod drive system, turns at speed are as exciting as they are in a fine sports car, but perhaps even more exhilarating are the low sound levels at cruise speed: with less than 75 Dba, the Sabre 48 is one of the quietest motoryachts available today. The joystick and Skyhook operations give every captain the confidence to dock her in the most difficult of circumstances.

Her raised cockpit sole brings together the social aspects of the cockpit and main salon, and the aft end of the house opens up fully to connect the spaces. Her main salon offers ample seating surfaces for entertaining or simply relaxing to read or enjoy the standard entertainment systems. While underway the raised settee to port of the Stidd helm chair is a perfect place for the crew to enjoy the ride. And when docking, a standard side deck door assists her helmsman and crew. The two-cabin, two-head layout is supplemented by a mechanical space forward of the engine room. As an option, this space can be laid out as a crew quarters with berth and head unit.

Retired Models

34 hard top express

34 hard top expressFollowing the success of the Sabre 38 and 42 Hard Top Express models, Sabre Yachts is proud to present the new Sabre 34 Hard Top Express. Built in Maine, home to America’s finest yacht builders, this new design also offers the classic look and performance for which Sabre Yachts is so well known. But the Sabre 34 has even more of the elegance and creative details that boat buyers have come to expect from the Sabre Design Team.

Her elevated helm deck offers clear sight lines from the Stidd helm chair, and the elevated L-settee to port provides ample views for her crew and guests. A convertible backrest at the forward end of the settee creates a comfortable mate’s seat. A fully functional galley is located to starboard aft of the helm seat.

Standard power for the Sabre 34 is a pair of Yanmar 315 HP diesel engines with electronic controls and digital gages. Also available are the Volvo D6 310. Yanmar and Volvo 380 hp engine upgrades are available for those seeking higher cruise and top end speeds. The standard engines will provide a cruise speed in the mid-20 knot range. A generator and below-deck air conditioning system are included as standard equipment.

Below deck, this 34-footer is truly unique, designed as an open layout that creates a private owner’s suite. A full, queen-sized berth, low to the cabin sole, is easy to access. To port and aft is a full head with separate shower stall. To starboard is a comfortable L-settee with matching ottoman. This is one of the most comfortable and welcoming spaces ever offered in a production motoryacht.

42 hard top express

Sabre Yachts Design Team first presented the Sabre 42 Hard Top Express to the boating public at the Miami International Boat Show and from that moment she has been one of the most sought after Sabre motor yachts.

Her helm deck is a careful study in ergonomics, surrounded by large, opening windows and overhead hatches for maximum ventilation and light. Views for the helmsman and crew are virtually unobstructed. The Stidd helm and mate’s chairs, covered in Ultraleather upholstery, provide a degree of comfort rarely found in competitors’ yachts. To add to cruising comfort, our engineers have reduced noise and vibration levels with a careful study of engine room ventilation and insulation.

Wide side decks with large-diameter stainless steel hand rails, custom stainless steel portlights, line chocks and air intakes, a standard rope chain windlass and highly polished aluminum hatches all add to the beauty and functionality of her deck. A double anchor roller makes anchoring work a breeze.

Below decks her handcrafted cherry interior adds to the sense of luxury, evident throughout. The master stateroom berth is low and wide, making it both comfortable and easy to access. The head with stall shower has private access from the stateroom and from the salon. The main salon is configured with a long L-shaped settee and a custom, maple-inlaid salon table. The guest stateroom to starboard is equipped with a pullout double berth, many drawers and lockers.

Her galley is equipped with an electric cook top, convection microwave oven and offers ample storage for extended voyaging.

36 fly bridge sedan

36 fly bridge sedanBased on the proven deep-vee hull of the Sabre 36 Express MKII, the Sabre 36 Sedan is offered in a standard Fly Bridge Sedan version, as an extended Hard Top version or as a Sedan without fly bridge. This versatile approach allows clients to select the model that is just right for their boating lifestyle.

The 36 Fly Bridge Sedan is equipped with twin Yanmar 6LP 315 hp diesel engines. Optionally Yanmar 6LY 370 hp engines may be selected. Cruise speed with standard engines is 18 knots and with optional engines, 24 knots. Top end speed with the optional engines is 30 knots.

The interior of the 36 Fly Bridge Sedan is finished in handcrafted American Cherry. Her layout includes a private owner’s stateroom forward, a large head with circular acrylic shower enclosure and a full galley. Above the engine room is a spacious and airy salon with a lower helm station and sliding door to the starboard side deck.

Wide side decks with a molded-in nonskid pattern provide a sense of security for crew moving about on deck. She is outfitted with the finest deck hardware: Large diameter handrails, stainless steel portlights, highly polished hatches from Lewmar all add to her beauty and functionality. From the cockpit a gently sloped staircase leads to the spacious and comfortable fly bridge.

The Sabre Design Team recognized a need for an extended hard top. This unique option extends the existing fly bridge sedan’s hard top to form a cover for the yacht’s aft cockpit.

With this overhang, the cockpit becomes an extension of the yacht’s salon, offering a comfortable space in which to relax while underway or at rest. Whether it is the sun or the rain you are trying to avoid, this option dramatically increases the versatility of the Sabre 36 Sedan.

A sliding acrylic hatch covers the stairs to the command bridge and can be drawn closed to keep the rain away from the cockpit. This opening in the hard top also provides convenient sight lines from the upper helm to the port aft corner of the transom during docking maneuvers.
