Petzold’s Marine Center is looking for a dependable Yard Worker to join our haul-out crew at our Portland, CT location this fall.This is a full-time seasonal position from approximately October 1 through Christmas, with the potential for a full-time opportunity for the right individual.The primary focus of this position will be supporting our busy fall haul-out and winter storage season. You’ll work alongside our yard team in a hands-on, fast-paced marina environment.Responsibilities include:<ul><li>Pressure washing boat bottoms as boats are hauled for winter storage</li><li>Assisting with launching and hauling boats</li><li>Helping block, place, stage and move boats throughout the yard</li><li>Assisting with bottom painting and general boatyard work</li><li>Supporting site and facility winterization</li><li>Helping maintain a clean, safe and organized property</li><li>Assisting the yard and service teams as needed</li></ul>What We’re Looking For:<ul><li>Strong work ethic and dependable attendance</li><li>Comfortable working outdoors in all types of weather</li><li>Able to perform physical work and some heavy lifting</li><li>Willingness to learn and work as part of a team</li><li>Ability to work safely around boats and heavy equipment</li><li>Previous marina or boatyard experience is a plus</li></ul>Experience operating hydraulic trailers, travel lifts and forklifts is preferred, but not required.
